93 PointsThe Tasting Panel
Aged 15 months in French oak, this blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% other varieties offers cherry-skin tannins and note of cherry pith and red tea. Red fruit is perfused with radiant notes of cedar, violets, and clove. Clay, limestone, and iron-rich soils show in a stony core surrounded by bittersweet dark chocolate. A labor-intensive beauty, the wine spends 22 months in barrel, with decanting every four to six months, before aging a minimum of two additional years in bottle
92 Points James Suckling
Sweet blackberry, blueberry and bark aromas follow through to a full body with a compact palate of medium, round and chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Drinkable now, but better with a year of bottle age.
Producer Notes
A sparkling dark ruby shade. An intense and complex nose, combining a multitude of pleasing
sensations. Ripe black fruit flavors, milky coconut, and mocha notes are layered against an oak
and balsamic background with a harmonious structure. The wine is flavorful and voluminous
on the palate, with mellow tannins and a subtle spicy finish, revealing a hint of eucalyptus. It is
a great wine that expresses luscious fruit spicy touches, revealing a solid identity of its origins.
This red is light- to medium-bodied and lively, with light, chalky tannins framing creamed black cherry, red licorice, dried sage and mocha notes, ending with a subtle finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 37,000 cases made, 15,000 cases imported
