Aalborg Description
The Danes have given it the nickname 'Red Aalborg', but its real name was already given in 1846 when it was launched by Isidor Henius who brought the Danish schnapps to level as we know today.
Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is the archetype on a clear Danish aquavit. It has a distinct flavour of mustard seed, but if you close your eyes, you can sense a discreet aftertaste of orange.
It fits perfectly with a piece of marinated herring served with onions. And there is a guarantee of success if it is served to a slice of sausage or pork stew.
