“Plummy fruit with a well-judged stream of oak through this medium-bodied riserva. Some vanilla flavors come through on the palate, but this remains balanced overall and smooth. The tannins are well-integrated and the bright, plummy fruit picks up again on the finish. Drink or hold.”
Producer Notes
100% Sangiovese
Bright and deep ruby red color. The nose is intense and with typical ripe wild berryes such as blackberry and raspberry followed by spicy hints in which the note of licorice predominates, accompained by notes of tobacco. It is a full-bodied, austere wine, with succulent tannins and a fresh acidity with a long and expressive finish characterized by blood orange notes in the after taste that temps to drink it.
