Borgo Del Mandorlo Description
From our friends at Botter, the Borgo del Mandorlo Primitivo is sourced from top vineyards in the DOC Manduria zone - home of Italy's best Primitivo vineyards. This wine is made from bush-trained vines (albarello) grown on limestone & clay soil. Vinified with the capello sommerso (submerged cap) type of vinification traditional in Piedmont. Whereas our Tratturi Primitivo shows off the lighter, fresher side of Primitivo, the Borgo del Mandorlo shows the exuburant, lush side with ripe cherry and plum flavors with notes of spice and chocolate
