Alta Yari Description
The Alta Yari Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2022 was hand harvested and fermented in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks. Half of the wine was matured for twelve months in French oak barrels. In the glass, the wine has a glistening dark purple color, almost black in the center, with flashes of bright ruby at the edge. Ripe black cherries and crème de cassis dominate the nose, which evolves over time to include black freestone plums, dried cranberries, and dark cocoa. On the palate, the first impression is of opulence, building to a meaty, lingering, dense mid-palate, loaded with a cornucopia of sinewy black and red fruit that echoes the nose, all seasoned with star anise, black tea, and bittersweet chocolate shavings, and framed in ripe, fine grained, dusty tannins.
